Who we are
little fit ("we") provides a shoe-fitting app for children. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. To contact us about your data, email hello@littlefit.co.uk.
Using little fit without an account
You can measure a foot and get size recommendations without giving us anything. In that case measurements are stored only in your own browser or device and never reach our servers.
What we collect if you create an account
- Your email address and a securely hashed password (to sign you in).
- A first name or nickname for each child — optional, and a nickname is fine — plus their age in years and months and gender if you choose to give it.
- Foot length and width measurements, and the date they were taken.
We do not collect surnames, addresses, photographs, or payment details, and we do not run advertising or analytics tracking.
Children's data
Accounts are for parents and guardians, not children. When you sign up you confirm you are the child's parent or guardian and that you consent to us storing their measurements. A child's name is optional and can be a nickname.
Why we can use it (lawful basis)
We rely on your consent to store your child's measurements so we can show growth over time, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure account service for the sign-in data. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Deleting a measurement removes it immediately; deleting your account permanently removes your account and every child and measurement attached to it. Nothing is kept in a hidden or archived copy.
Who we share it with
Nobody. Data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. It is stored by our hosting and database provider purely to run the service, under contract and within the UK/EEA or under equivalent safeguards.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every record is tied to your account at the database level, so no other user can read your family's records.
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary item of local storage to keep you signed in, plus your saved measurements on this device. There are no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to and erase your data. In the app, go to Account to download everything we hold as a file, or delete your account and all data instantly. You can also email us. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
